Fayol's General and Industrial Management - Part 3

Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3 - Part 4

Industrial and General Management

"The meaning attributed by me to the term of management, and generally adopted... besides the Public Services, it also includes the companies of any kind, coordination and control; to properly work, all of them have to respect the same general principles. It is not about several administrative sciences anymore, but about only one science."
Henri Fayol

Is important to remark the term "GENERAL" which is part of the title of the book. The author could identify a certain specific field to be occupied by a new particular science and which application could be generalized.
Finally, is also important to remark the achievement of Henri Fayol, who through a laudable intellectual effort, established the nowadays classic elements that define the Management (Planning, Organizing, Commanding, Coordinating, and Controlling).
